Bio

Attorney Robert Trenchard Jr. earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska in 1969. Then, he graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1972.  Attorney Trenchard is admitted to practice law in all Texas and New Mexico state courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts for Western and Northern District of Texas and District of New Mexico, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for Fifth and Tenth Circuits, the U.S. Court of Claims, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has had articles published in TRIAL, including “When My Co-Counsel and I Disagreed” in September 1998 and “Closing Arguments: Journey’s End” in July 1999.

Attorney Trenchard is involved in several associations, such as the El Paso Bar Association, El Paso Trial Lawyers Association, State Bar of Texas, State Bar of New Mexico, New Mexico Trial Lawyers Foundation, and Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He is a life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. In the past, he has been part of the Winkler County Bar Association and co-chairman of the Mining and Oilfield Products and Accidents Litigation Group of the American Justice Association. Attorney Trenchard is a Texas Super Lawyer and has been recognized as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in the state by the National Trial Lawyers.
